Call for Papers

Abstracts for submitted papers are requested as soon as possible (ASAP), with a cut-off date of 15 January 2001, in order to advise the appropriate technical committee members of the incoming reviewing tasks.

Draft papers are required by the due date of March 1st 2001 for acceptance by the technical committee. They should comprise single spaced text and figures, should contain a title, the abstract, keywords, and the body of the paper, and must follow either the MS Word format (preferred) or the LaTeX style, and have no more than 8 pages.

Papers will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity, and scientific soundness. Each paper will be refereed by 2 or 3 researchers of the technical committee who have indicated the paper's topical area as one of their expertise. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and CD-ROM, to be available at the Conference in August 2001. After a submitted paper has been refereed by the 2 or 3 reviewers who have made some comments, the author(s) should take these into account to improve the quality of the final version (click here for MS-Word template for final submission, here for a LaTex Template and here for the LaTex sources). Electronic submissions are allowed in Postscript or Adobe Portable Document formats (ps or pdf) and should be sent to pierre.valin@lmco.com.

Please also provide via email the following information to pierre.valin@lmco.com in order that an Advance program be posted on the Web:
  1. the title of your paper and its relevant topic (please choose one of the conference topics)
  2. whether you prefer an oral presentation, a poster presentation or are flexible to present either way, depending on recommendations from the reviewers and availability of space
  3. the name of the authors and their affiliations (including the contact author's name and address, telephone number, fax number, and email address)
  4. the abstract of your paper (no more than 200 words)
  5. keywords for your paper (up to a maximum of 6)
  6. a short paragraph with the biographical details of each author (at the very least those of the presenting author) to be put on Fusion 2001 Web site
The preliminary program will be available on Fusion 2001 web site by May 1st (hopefully before), please check regularly the Fusion 2001 web pages for updated information and details about final submission format and deadlines.
