Conference facilities

The chosen venue is the Delta Centre-Ville, formerly the Radisson Hotel des Gouverneurs which accommodates both the conference grounds and the guest rooms. It is centrally located, close to historic Old Montréal and Chinatown, only minutes away on foot from the downtown core. It is adjacent to the Stock Exchange, the World Trade Centre and the International Civil Aviation Organization headquarters, with easy access to Montréal's extensive subway and underground city. A short walking distance brings you to the Molson Centre, site of major attractions (the Montréal Canadiens' residence in winter). Museums and restaurants abound in the area. In the map provided, it is located at the bottom in the center.

The hotel grounds can easily accommodate 300 to 350 attendees, which is the number expected from extrapolation from the first 3 registrations for the International Conferences on Information Fusion: 161 at FUSION 1998 in Las Vegas, 203 at FUSION 1999 in Sunnyvale, and 253 at FUSION 2000 in Paris. A firm block of 150 rooms is presently reserved for FUSION 2001 at a discounted rate of CDN$155. Breakfast, lunch and 2 coffee breaks will be included with the registration. An optional banquet will be scheduled for Wednesday. Additional hotels in the neighbourhood (within 5-15 minutes walking distance) can also offer less expensive rooms.
