The Young Mathematicians' Conference will be taking place in Montreal on January 18th and 19th 2008. Over the last several years we have organized regular conferences which feature the work of young researchers in the areas of PDE and Dynamical Systems, with the goal to encourage scientific exchange and to create an opportunity for mathematicians in an early stage of their career to get to know each other, and each other's work. This year's conference is the 5th such yearly event. We believe that the previous conferences in this series were successful in raising the profile of talented young mathematicians, encouraging high standards of research and presentation, widening the horizons of the participants and helping develop a feeling of community in the discipline.

The 5th YMC conference will take place at the Centre de Recherches Mathematiques at the Université de Montréal. The two-day conference will feature 2 plenary talks given by senior speakers, and 10-12 twenty five minute talks given by younger mathematicians, either advanced graduate students or postdoctoral fellows.
