Canadian launch of a UNESCO tool kit

Mathematics for Action :
Supporting Science-Based Decision Making

This tool kit is a collection of two-page briefs highlighting the role of mathematics in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030. Written by mathematicians and scientists from around the world, these briefs present fascinating research on how mathematics is addressing the world's most pressing challenges. The collection is intended for policymakers and others who seek to learn about these issues. It also presents new avenues for scientific research.

The Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM) was the manager for this project carried out by a consortium of organizations:
