Lax pairs for Painlevé equations

Abstract:
It is well known that the classical Painlevé equations allow
Lax pair representations. It is less known that some of the
Painlevé equations allow several representations of such kind.
In the lecture, three regular procedures yielding the Lax pairs
for Painlevé equations will be described, and the question of
their (non)equivalence will be discussed as well.
