The New Investigator Committee of the Statistical Society of Canada (SSC) and the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques (CRM) Laboratory of Statistics are organizing a regional meeting (Québec/Ontario) Saturday April 4th 2009. The purpose of this meeting is to gather assistant professors, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students to discuss important issues relevant to new or future investigators in statistics.

We are planning 5 short talks from young researchers in the morning, while the afternoon will be dedicated to discussions between participants.
