The main focus of the workshop will be to discuss new trends and techniques in the variational analysis of a wide range of mathematical problems, as well as to chart the current challenges in these models and to have in-depth discussions on possible routes towards overcoming these.

The workshop will bring together leading experts and young scholars of diverse backgrounds, and it will enable participants to share their results and experiences, while exchanging ideas, and exploring new potential collaborations.

The workshop will provide opportunities to promote mathematical advances of models with applications from the physical and biological sciences as well as engineering.
