 Biographie:

Frederick Duncan Michael Haldane est un physicien d'origine britannique qui est actuellement professeur de physique à l'Université Sherman Fairchild à l'Université de Princeton. Il a fait ses études à la St Paul's School de Londres et au Christ's College de Cambridge où il a obtenu un baccalauréat en arts suivi d'un doctorat en 1978 pour des recherches supervisées par Philip Warren Anderson.

  • 2017: Elected as a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences

  • 2017: Golden Plate Award of the American Academy of Achievement 

Avec David J. Thouless et J. Michael Kosterlitz, Haldane a partagé le prix Nobel de physique 2016 "pour les découvertes théoriques des transitions de phase topologiques et des phases topologiques de la matière".
