CRM-PIMS Probability Summer School - May 24-June 18, 2021

The Summer Schools in Probability are a highlight of Canadian probability. Launched in by PIMS in 2004, they take the form of two main 4-week courses, along with a number of keynote addresses and shorter mini-courses. The school is geared primarily at doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars.

The 2021 summer school will take place in Montreal. It is organized independently from the thematic program in probability and PDEs, but its schedule has been coordinated with thematic program activities to avoid conflict.
The school will feature 4-week courses given by Louigi Addario-Berry and by Jean-Christophe Mourrat, and short courses delivered by Patricia Gonçalves, Sarah Penington, and Kavita Ramanan.

The previous probability summer schools in this series took place in 2004,2005,2008,2009,2010,2012,2014,2015 and 2017. The 2020 summer school was scheduled to take place at UBC, with 4-week courses by Ivan Corwin and by Frank den Hollander. That activity has been shifted to May 30-June 24, 2020 with the same set of courses and minicourses. The Online Open Probability School offered weekly mini-courses from May-August 2020, many of which have been recorded and archived, and may be of interest to the same audience.
