SIDE 12 is the twelfth in a series of biennial conferences devoted to Symmetries and Integrability of Difference Equations and related topics: ordinary and partial difference equations, analytic difference equations, orthogonal polynomials and special functions, symmetries and reductions, difference geometry, integrable discrete systems on graphs, integrable dynamical mappings, discrete Painlevé equations, singularity confinement, algebraic entropy, complexity and growth of multivalued mapping, representations of affine Weyl groups, quantum mappings and quantum field theory on the space-time lattice and physical applications.

SIDE 1 and 8 took place in Québec, Canada, in 1994 and 2008 respectively. The 1994 event was so successful that it gave rise to the series since held in the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, France, Finland, Germany, Australia, Bulgaria, China and India.

SIDE 12 will take place at Hotel Chanteclerc, in Sainte-Adèle, Québec, Canada (the Laurentian area near Montréal), from July 3 (arrival day) to July 9, 2016 (departure day).

SIDE12 will be preceded by a school: Abecedarian of SIDE (ASIDE)
June 27 to July 1st, 2016
Centre de recherches mathématiques, Université de Montréal

Organizing committee: Raphael Rebelo, Chair (CRM), Ferenc Balogh (Concordia), Decio Levi (Roma Tre), Bart Vlaar (Nottingham), Pavel Winternitz (CRM)

ASIDE2016
The goal of ASIDE is to gather early career researchers (ECR), post-doctoral fellows (PDF) and PhD students for a week-long series of mini-courses taught by their peers. These introductory mini-courses will cover the topics treated at the SIDE conference.
